Comment on this entry and I will...
1. Tell you why I friended you (provided I remember). 1a. in life, you were in a show w/ my husband & became his friend first, then our friend. When you showed up on lj, I was delighted to have you about.
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, a word, etc. 2a. Star Trek, Bret Spiner, Danny Kaye, & Quantum Leap. I can't believe you remember my fondness for Danny Kaye! I wonder how House MD fits into this group. Probably the Hugh Laurie connection. I was thinking of getting the videos of "A Bit of Fry and Laurie" and "Jeeves and Wooster".
3. Tell you something I like about you. 3a. Your innate honesty. I'm glad you like the honesty. I guess I strike some people as being too much so. I try to be diplomatic but sometimes I guess I miss the mark. I am just too used to talking to a bunch of thick-headed males (read: older brothers and a hard of hearing Dad).
4. Tell you a memory I have of you. 4a. I'll never forget giving you the thumbs up before you walking down the aisle, only to discover that the ring had fallen off. I do remember hunting for the ring in the train to my gown. I guess at that point I was less bothered by it. I know you wanted to put it on your watch band and the wedding coordinator insisted on it being on your thumb. All was well.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you. 5a. How did you meet David? I feel I should know but I honestly don't remember the story, sorry. I met David through the Great Expectations dating service. I had gotten several ads from them after I moved here and something just made me do ahead and join. I hadn't been a member for more than 2 weeks when David asked to meet me based on my profile (especially the bookaholic comment). In fact, I had gotten his card and reviewed his profile and agreed to release information to him right before my one and only trip to visit you guys for Halloween. He called the very day I got back.
The rest is history. 10 months later we were married. And 10 years later we still are. I pretend my Dad arranged for my job in Dallas to come through the day after he died and then prompted David to look at my profile (a la "Always"). David said he was going through the books alphabetically and had already done the J's but something just prompted him to backtrack after my profile was placed in the book. And there I was.
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours. 6a. You only HAVE ONE!!! So, um, yeah, it's my favourite! ;-)
7. In return, you must post this in your LJ. 7a. Here it is |
